Re-Viewing Improvisation is a discussion about the importance of a critical reception of improvised and experimental music, its preconditions and aesthetical premises. What do we mean by experimental music today? What kinds of judgments are involved in the listening process? How is it possible to translate the sensations of listening into writing or critical contexts? From their own experiences as musical writers, the guests of this seminar will discuss the doubt and the delight of trying to signify the ineffable.
